The Salfordian Hotel - a ‘home from home' for hundreds of Salford's elderly and disabled residents
With a picturesque seaside location in Southport and a level of support that's rarely available at other hotels, The Salfordian Hotel provides an enjoyable and much needed break for hundreds of Salford residents. The hotel is ideal for people who need to consider their mobility or who are older.
Many Salford residents who visit the hotel live alone, so a stay at The Salfordian can be the highlight of their year and it really helps to reduce social isolation.
For others, it gives the relatives who are caring for them some much needed respite and a break too. Families can be confident that when their relative stays at the hotel, they will be very well looked after.
WHY DOES THE SALFORDIAN NEED MONEY?
Unfortunately, the hotel had to close its doors in December 2012 because large scale repairs, including essential electrical works were needed. The hotel was inundated with concerned messages. Salford's Deputy Mayor, Councillor Lancaster, spearheaded a campaign and with the support of local businesses and charities the hotel was able to reopen. If you want the hotel to continue to provide breaks for local people in the future, we need your help to raise as much money as possible for them.
