Hi, thank you for visiting our fund-raising page for Stripey Stork 2024.
Yes another year has flown by and again Jackie and myself will be running the Run Reigate 10k in new yearly Fancy dress costumes!! I always surpass myself yearly! All to raise money for the incredible local charity 'Stripey Stork' on the 22nd of September.
Stripey Stork Is absolutely incredible charity that supports children and parents experiencing hardship. By giving clothes, toys, baby and children's products and equipment to families and parents who have escaped abuse or found themselves in hardship.
All the items are sourced and collected second hand so also saving on landfill by recycling and reusing many items.
This could be a school bag, duvet cover or simply a tube of toothpaste. The impact is enormous to those who sometimes have never experienced any kindness in their lives.
Stripey Stork work in partnership with support services such as children’s centres, schools, health visitors, domestic abuse services and social service agencies.
All of the donations go directly to the families that they support, and each item to someone who specifically needs it.
Volunteers work extremely hard to help many people in desperate need, in these recent times where financial hardship is affecting more and more people, the pressures are very frightening and painful for many. Every penny even small really does help those in need and they are incredibly grateful for the kindness. Many letters come back with thanks and stories of how this charity has completely changed their lives and given them hope.
This is an very hardworking and fantastic charity, and anything donated is truly gratefully received.a massive thank you for all those who have supported us over the years!
