Summer Wolf Run 2017

Hi Family and Friends, So........After Christmas I decided I would TRY and get fit by joining my local gym. As many of you will know I am not the fittest nor do I claim to be, but thought hey why not. Since joining I have been either going 24/7 or not at all (whoops) but the times I did show my face I was enjoying my time running. So I came up with the silly idea of entering myself for the Summer Wolf Run on 4th June. I didn't think much of it and after entering, had a look at what I will endure and some hard training has to begin! The Wolf Run is Wild Running - a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. The only Wild Run in the UK, it’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud. Set in the grounds of the striking Stanford Hall estate, Leicestershire. Wild springs and dense woodland make this course both beautiful and challenging. Intricate trails, lakes and streams are combined with impressive man made structures to provide you with a tough full body work out. The infamous Mud Sucker obstacle is the highlight for many Wolf Runners... drawing out the pack support mentality in all I have decided to raise money for a local charity, Warwickshire Vision Support, a charity I have supported over the years and would really appreciate any donation. Warwickshire Vision Support provides both statutory rehabilitation services and voluntary support services to blind and partially sighted people in Warwickshire. Their mission is help people to build and maintain independence and control over their lives and to reduce the level of social isolation that they may experience.  The Rehabilitation Service supports people who have recently lost their sight and require new skills for independent living. Any support on the day would be great too as there is all sorts going on through out the day and I will need help standing up afterwards. Thank you Sarah xxx
