Schools Work consists of transition clubs, lunchtime clubs and assemblies in 34 inner city primary schools. Transition and lunchtime clubs look at issues such as self-worth, identity and the environment; assemblies delivered to whole schools look at such topics as bullying, patience and how small actions can make a big difference.
Why they need our serviceSchools work provides another setting to reach and work with inner city children. It is also helpful to support local primary schools from within, reinforcing a school's ethos or helping children who find classrooms difficult to engage with school.
Plan and expected resultsLunchtime clubs and transition clubs can go deep into children's worries and concerns, helping them to work through these problems. A child recently remarked, "I can be myself here." Kidz Klub assemblies support the ethos and work of schools and inform children about other Kidz Klub activities going on in their area.
