The Friendship Club is a project within People First Dorset, a user led charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Dorset to speak up.
On Sunday 17th May at 10am, The Friendship Club and some of its members will meet on Weymouth sea front opposite Lodmoor Country Park. The group, all dressed in blue, are going to stomp up the seafront! The aim is to raise awareness of learning disabilities as well as raise funds for the club.
The Friendship Club needs funds in order to continue running socially inclusive events for its members - which is why some Friendship Club members asked if we could organise this fundraiser. These members decided they wanted to do a sponsored walk, and make it inclusive for all.
The Friendship Club is a user led social inclusion project which runs social activities in the community for people with learning disabilities. It supports people to gain independent and social skills
as well as integrate into the local community
