See it, Try It, Love It! A mid term celebration of the 12 month project "My Life - Taking Control". A chance for disabled children and adults and their families and carers to try out lots of different activities such as jewellery making, fabric and paint painting, creative writing and singing in a safe, accessible environment. Also, a chance for some of our members to showcase their talents and achievements.

My Life - Taking Control aims to give disabled people more control over their lives. Disabled people and carers tell us that they feel isolated and lack confidence. This is a chance for them to sample activities and gain confidence so that they might then be able to enjoy more hobbies and join local groups. The event will raise our profile and will provide opportunities for us to work alongside other local charities e.g. Headingley LitFest and Northern Ballet and provide volunteer opportunities.

A well attended afternoon. More confident disabled people and carers who will go on to take up more hobbies and join clubs meaning less isolation and loneliness. Opportunity to raise profile of our group within local area. Successful outcome would help with future funding applications.
