About

After a 6 year hiatus from any form of running my brother in law and I decided it was time to maybe put on the rusty old training shoes again. The last race we did together was the Snowdonia Marathon which has been recently voted one the best marathons for it’s demanding and spectacular route. This time we thought we would take it off road and try the Serpent Trail race in the South Downs National Park. We weren’t brave enough to tackle the 100km yet so we have settled for 50km.

This fundraiser is to support Gorne Wood in hopefully achieving their fundraising ambitions. I got my dates wrong for when their fundraising campaign would end so considering the old saying "Its a marathon, not a sprint" - this is definitely a sprint fundraiser.
