I will be taking part in the Worthing Five Peaks Challenge, walking 17 miles for Olly's Future on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
It marks five years of the suicide prevention charity, which has done an incredible amount of work to help educate and inform people.
I have reported on suicide in my work as a journalist, and each story has been so moving. Men are three times more likely to die by suicide.
I will be doing this challenge in memory of all those who have been impacted by suicide and to raise awareness of the excellent work of Olly's Future.
I first came across the charity at the start of this year, while writing an article for The Guardian's Emerging Voices Award. I have since been truly astounded at the impact the charity has, and have been fortunate enough to receive Suicide Prevention Training.
1 in 4 people will experience a mental health challenge of some kind each year in England. Always check on your family and friends.
