Hi, I am helping to raise funds for TS Gurkha-Stratford Sea Cadets - a brilliant organisation that makes a real difference to the cadets who attend.
The Sea Cadets is a national youth organisation that enables young people to flourish, learn key life skills and achieve qualifications in a range of areas, all of which boosts their confidence as they prepare for the rest of their lives. Their training gives the cadets a sense of civic pride. They help at local events, work with different generations and make a positive contribution to the Stratford community.
As cadets, they gain fantastic life skills and have the opportunity to take part in life changing activities. Two cadets recently took part in the Tall Ships Race aboard TS Royalist, the corps flagship.
I would like to ask your help to enable the unit to do more for our fantastic young people. Stratford Sea Cadets is a registered charity and we have to raise all the money ourselves to keep the unit running.
We particularly need to purchase a new rib safety boat to allow the cadets to be on the river.
