I have a grandchild with Autism. This has woke me up to the difficulties the WHOLE family has to go through. I also work as a carer/support worker which is a job I love but this also shows me the difficulties these children have to face in the future. I have watched my daughter fight to get any help and advice for my granddaughter and that's why I am doing this for such a worthy charity.
I myself used to be classed as "disabled" due to epilepsy which I had since the age of 16 until 6 years ago. I am terrified of heights but as it was pointed out to me "What is the point of a challenge unless I truly challenge myself"
