Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support, helping families with young children through their challenging times. I've been supporting Home-Start as a trained volunteer for many years. It's an experience I have always found extremely rewarding and enjoyable.
As some of you will know I've always fancied doing a sky dive. The opportunity arose for me to take the leap from 10,000 feet (apologies for the terrible pun) to not only support Home-Start but to realise my dream.
I had planned on doing the jump last year, to coincide with my 80th birthday. Unfortunately Coronavirus had different plans and we had to delay it, but we are now able to go ahead.
So, on the 3rd July I will be taking the plunge and I will be trying to raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause.
If you are able to sponsor me, for any amount at all, both Home-Start and I would be very grateful indeed..
