We provide help in a relaxed, non-pressurised setting to improve the client's confidence and skills. Our services include one-to-one help with CVs, Application Forms, Covering Letters, Interview Techniques and Jobsearch. All our services are free including use of internet, phone, fax, photocopying and printing. We signpost individuals to further education, training organisations, voluntary work and other agencies. We also reach isolated pockets of deprivation with outreach services.

The project is located in the ward of Golf Green in Jaywick near Clacton. This is the third most deprived ward in the UK. Additionally there are pockets of deprivation across Tendring where people are isolated from many forms of help by a poor transport infrastructure and difficulties with travel. Literacy and numeracy levels are low and unemployment is high.

Last year saw over 400 visitor making nearly 3000 visits. With the current government initiatives to address the recession we would expect to see increased unemployment and demand on our services.
