CASEY WESTWOOD
Brothers & sisters. This year the Society will be supporting Casey & her family.
Casey has a rare chromosome disorder delition ov chromosome 2. There is no precise name for her condition as there is only 51 similar cases in the world. She has development delay feeding learning difficulties and epilepsy she has no speech an has everything done for her. She is fed through a gastrostomy tube and also has problems with her legs and feet.
Her mum Danielle doesn't know too much about her condition as it's such a rare condition and gets a very limited amount of support & advice from the authorities. She just has to take each day as it comes.
The society has pledged to improve Casey's facilities in her home which is not currently kitted out with disabled equipment. The society is also committed to helping mum get some respite as the care young Casey requires is full on.
