The Peoples Orchestra, through it's choral arm (The Peoples Show Choir) are producing, and have produced, Sing along Work Shops which are freely available to Care Homes and other organisations catering for those who have been isolated and unable to attend public performances of musical arts for most of 2020. The Work Shops feature a viewable performance of popular songs, with accompanying words across the screen and limited physical movements to encourage active participation, both verbally and physically.  It has been proven that participating in musical performances this way have significant benefits to well being and was primarily aimed at those Care Home residents who had free access to performances by the Orchestra and Choir in the past but are now excluded through isolation and lock down. The project has now been extended to all Care Homes and any organisation that caters for people who have been isolated by Covid restrictions. The aim of the project is to extend the distribution of the Work Shops from the West Midlands, to Nationwide.  The transition from live performances to producing media viewable online has necessitated the purchase of additional production equipment, expertise and technology. This project will finance the rapid expansion of the production and distribution of the Work Shops providing a greater audience participation.
