Five members of the FinTrU Mountaineering & Orienteering Group are heading to Wales on the morning of August 31st 2018, with seven others, to climb Snowdon. At 1,085m it is the highest mountain in Wales, and the highest mountain that the Mountaineering Group has attempted to date.
This climb will mark a milestone in the groups progress, as they have now completed the initial goal that was set after their very first climb. That goal was to climb to the highest point in every county in Ulster. They recently achieved this, having also climbed to the highest point in Ireland along the way.
The FinTrU Mountaineering & Orienteering Group wished to mark the occasion with a sponsored climb overseas, and will be giving all monies raised to Include Youth, FinTrU's chosen charity. Include Youth is a local charity that everyone in FinTrU has very generously donated to in the past. We are hoping that those within FinTrU can help to make this a special occasion by helping to raise what we can for Include Youth.
