I am cycling from solihull to the Cotwolds to raise money for an unbelievable charity ordinary magic ...
Ordinary Magic is a not for profit mental health and wellbeing service for the children and young people of Solihull to help children cope with feelings of anxiety, desperation, isolation and fear without being offered the support that they need.
One of the projects they deliver is called Make it Ordinary. I am fundraising for this project as it supports teenage boys in Solihull with their mental health. This project normalises mental health awarness for young men and shows them that it is ok to ask for help if you need it. They have also worked with many young men to support them with education, psychological support and therapy & as a male growing up in North Solihull I believe the work that they do is crucial.
In 2018 a national health survey completed found that Solihull has one of the highest rates of hospital admissions of young males due to the impact of mental health in the whole of England and I am riding for this cause as it's a passion of mine & I want to help make a change.
