My brother was a submariners for over 15 years and served his country with honour. Later in life he had some real struggles with alcohol and mental health. The veterans of Sefton supported him without prejudice or judgement and helped him on many occasions back to recovery. Workers provided Neil with support and care that helped him find sobriety and hope. I will always be eternally grateful for the friendship they gave him. Steve Calderbank provided support to Neil and my family through good and Some of the worst times which included my brothers passing. Steve and his comrades made sure that Neil's passing was a tribute to his life achievements, and for this I will always be grateful. This is a local charity and in many ways unknown countrywide. Me and many of my colleagues, friends and family are walking up Snowdon on the 30th June to raise money for this brilliant cause. Please give what you can in memory of my brother Neil Emerson.
