Thanks for visiting my page!
Men's mental health is sometimes a taboo topic and even though people are talking about it more and more, people are still suffering in silence and not seeking help. Someone close to me recently lost a family member to suicide and it really hit home and highlighted how much of an issue it still is.
I fell £275 short of my raising my £1000 charity target this summer and wanted a creative way to raise the outstanding amount and potentially some more.
I'm going to attempt a sub 3-hour marathon in Lisbon on October 8th and for every minute I get over, I'll donate £10 myself to Mens Minds Matter.
My Strava tells me my estimated marathon time is 4:10:05, which is well over an hour slower than my target. I've recently completed some ultra-marathons and will be transitioning my training to quicker road running with an aim to take over an hour off my estimated finish time.
I have 8 weeks to transition from slow to quick and would welcome any top tips from people!
I've set up a new page to hopefully raise some more money for a great cause with the link in the comments and will document some of the training and of course the result in October.
Please donate and share the cause!
