Team Fundraisers
I have been a resident of Charlton for 17 years now, and have become a bit of a swimmer in the last few years. I am swimming 2 miles in London's Royal Docks in Newham on 16 July, and decided that it would be great to support a very local charity, the Big Red Bus Club, with my paddling.
Big Red Bus Club is a volunteer led charity providing free stay and play in Charlton Park. It provides help and support to families with children under five. Also it likes organising fundraising events when children all ages and their families are welcome.
Give to a great local cause, support the small ones, and me – a woman who will be swimming through bird feathers. I am also happy to report that I've had my shots and so should hopefully not come down with any water-borne disease.
