Pledge
From 1st November to 1st December we will be abstaining from added sugar, caffeine and alcohol in our diets.
Why?
Originally it was Callum's idea to quit added sugar and caffeine for the month. He was inspired by Ryan Williams quitting caffeine (we all enjoyed watching his transformation from Trainspotting-like withdrawal symptoms to becoming a new man... kind of) and a documentary he watched about how reliant our bodies are on added sugar.
While Ryan was going through his detox, Callum felt disappointed he hadn't joined him on his mission. He also knew that if he was to commit to not drinking coffee daily and avoiding alcohol for a month, he would need a partner to shame him into not going off course.
That's where Jordan came in. (That's him in the picture, disturbingly enjoying food.) For those of you who don't know Jordan, he has a serious sugar problem. It's no exaggeration to say that Callum couldn't imagine anyone with a greater love of chocolate/cakes/sweet things—he has a whole drawer dedicated to sugar-filled treats! Since recruiting him, there have been mixed reactions about Jordan's ability to do this: laughter, outright refusal to believe that he is capable of this… and his partner is considering living somewhere else.
The reaction that led to this page was the number of people who said they would pay to see Jordan go through hell complete our challenge.

Rules
This month, Callum and Jordan will not consume any foods or beverages containing:
• added sugar;
• sugar substitutes (e.g. honey, agave);
• artificial sweeteners;
• caffeine; or
• alcohol.
Food containing natural sugars (e.g fruit) is allowed.
