Each week our Family Centres have provided summer fun activities for thousands of children in Swansea, the first week of August 2017 we provide free hot meals for 739 children!

When schools out for summer, not everyone cheers, there are children and families in our communities that go hungry and are isolated for the 6 weeks break. In 2017 we have seen an increase of 45% of children accessing our breakfasts and lunch clubs - please see clip from Channel 4 news - https://www.channel4.com/news/children-going-hungry-in-the-holidays-without-free-school-meals

The funding for these centres primarily comes from Welsh Governments Tackling Poverty Programme - Communities First- which is finishing in March 2018, therefore we have a real risk that these centres will not be around for the summer of 2018.
