In one of the remotest and poorest parts of the world parents face an impossible choice for their young children:
  • Stay with the family but with little outlook for the future, or
  • Receive education far away from the family and a possible bright future. Those children that left at age 4 for education, have an opportunity to reunite with their families at age 16 when they have finished their secondary education. This is only possible if there is funding available to get them back to their villages. The children come from very poor and extremely remote villages where no schooling is available.
  • For more details please watch the trailer of the award winning documentary "Children of the Snow Land".

  • I am self-funding my 27 day trip ( which includes a contribution to support the students), going to the villages the youngsters are from.  After seeing them on their way in the Lower Dolpo region, we will meet up again with them in the 2nd and 3rd week of the journey,  after they have had time to renew their family bonds.
  • All donations go exclusively to funding the costs of the youngster's journey back to their families which costs £1600 per individual due to the distance and duration.
