GO BANANAS for KINGSTON CARERS' NETWORK! Surbiton Farmers' Market is holding a sponsored walk to raise money for Kingston Carers' Network Young Carers' Project. The 7.35 mile walk will be held in Richmond Park on Sunday 5th October and will start at 11.00am from the Kingston Gate car park. There is a free giant inflatable banana for kids so why not gather up the family and go bananas raising money to give young carers a well-earned break? If you would like to take part, entry is £2 and you can pick up sponsorship forms from the Organisers' Stall or Shoes at Last on Maple Road, Surbiton. Please contact info@surbitonfarmersmarket.co.uk Unpaid caring and carers feature increasingly in our society, as people live longer and as government-funded healthcare struggles to keep pace with the strains and stresses of individual and family needs, especially amongst the most vulnerable. KCN works hard to relieve hardship, improve carers quality of life and reduce the isolation of carers through a large range of services. Additionally, the Young Carers' Project provide fun and friendship for young carers ensuring that children are thriving and protected from inappropriate caring roles.
