Well, I'm Susan McDonagh and I've been involved with Leeds ABC for nearly 22 years. It's an extraordinary group and I'm thankful that I was introduced to it all those years ago as it's changed my life for the better and some of my closest friendships have been made through this group. My autistic son was 5 years old when I first found out about Leeds ABC and I really knew next to nothing about autism then. My son is now 26 and I am still learning about autism but I wouldn't have been where I am now without the support of the group....which is in a relatively sane place :-) For the last 10 years I have attempted the Leeds 10k, walking it not running it because I'm not a runner, but this year I have been doing some training and I am going to attempt to run as much of it as I can which is no mean feat for a grey haired biddy like me!! I'd be grateful for anything that you would like to donate and I will do my very best not to fall over my own feet!!! Many thanks xx
