Somer Valley FM is a volunteer led community radio station, built by local people and supported by generous donations. Over the past year, that support has helped us completely transform the station.

We have upgraded our studios, installed new broadcast equipment, refreshed our building and created a space we can be proud of.

Every improvement you hear on air has been made possible by volunteers giving their time and supporters believing in what we do.

As we move into 2026, we want to build on that momentum and take the next step forward as the area’s professional local radio station. To do that, we are fundraising to grow our services and our presence in the community.

Your support will help us improve our on air sound, production, invest in local promotion and marketing so more people discover the station, attend more community events, and take part in more outside broadcasts across the Somer Valley.

These are the things that allow us to be visible, accessible and truly local.

Somer Valley FM is not run for profit. It exists to give local voices a platform, support community groups, and provide a space for creativity, connection and conversation.
