This summer I have decided to swim 100 lengths in support of The Life Project, Bath. This Charity supports, educates and empowers adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. I am over 70 years old and have a vast amount of experience in the field of disability, and I must say that the staff and volunteers for this charity are amongst the most dedicated that I have ever encountered. Their priority is always those they serve. I have enjoyed the benefits receiving their support and encouragement (both as a carer of children with disabilities and as a giver, volunteering in my own small way). I always feel appreciated for the small contribution I make. I am aiming to swim 100 lengths of my pool in Italy and will be invigilated by 4 of my grandchildren (see photo!).
