Taste and Talk for Newham District Foodbank

Thank you for joining the Lunar New Year Taste and Talk.  We hope you enjoyed the food and learned some more about the Lunar New Year.  

The Race, Culture and Equality Group is also fundraising for the Newham District Foodbank and would welcome donations.

The Ascension Community Trust set up the foodbank was established as a response to COVID-19 to support local people in financial need and have fed over 1,500 people in the community. On 9th June the foodbank became part of the Trussell Trust and became known as the Newham District Foodbank.  The Ascension Community Trust is a charity based in Custom House in East London and through grassroots projects set up and run by members of our community, provide imaginative local services to cover gaps in mainstream provision, particularly for the young, the elderly, and the marginalised.  Your donation will be made directly to the foodbank.
