A group of us have got together to support the amazing work of the Carers Trust Wales. 3 in 5 people in the UK will become carers at sometime in their lives. We will all know of someone who is caring for a loved one and juggling everyday life.
Anyone could be a carer- a 15- year-old girl looking after a parent with an alcohol problem, a 40-year-old man working full-time whilst caring for his partner who has terminal cancer, or an 80-year old woman looking after her husband who has Alzheimer's. Carers make enormous sacrifices, often putting aside their education, careers, social lives and even their own health and wellbeing in order to care.
Carers Trust Wales supports over 36,000 carers, working with 11 Network Partners around Wales. They offer carers of all ages practical support and advice as well as campaigning for carers rights and delivering programmes, to producing key information for carers managing medicines and working with a range of professionals to ensure carers are better supported.
Thanks to your generous donation, Carers Trust Wales will be able to help alleviate the pressure from the lives of carers in Wales, making a real and lasting difference to their wellbeing, physical and mental health.
