The young people have a full week of activities: horse riding, canoeing, swimming, craft work etc., and social activities such as the BBQ and end of week party, all in a caring environment, where they are listened to and feel valued. They also learn something of the Christian faith and values.

Young people aged 10 - 16 who live in areas of low amenity and are socially isolated benefit enormously from a week's activity holiday at Teen Ranch near Perth. This summer the two largest groups were from Ruchazie and the East End of Glasgow. The week together helped improve relationships and confidence, which is carried over into their group activities when they return home.

Such is the demand and need for this project, we need to start fundraising now for next summer. We tried a few unsuccessful sources of funding early in the year. If it hadn't been for last minute awards, the young people would have missed out. We hope to avoid this next year by starting sooner and aiming for 39 places again in 2011.
