Teresa's National 24hr 3 Peaks Challenge
Between the 30th and the 1st of this month I will be climbing 3 peaks in England, Scotland and Wales, all in the name of a good cause: Tools for Self Reliance. Our first climb will be Ben Nevis in Scotland at 4,409ft, at 01:00 on the 30th. The next climb will be Scafell Pike in The Late District at 3,209ft, at 17:00 on the 30th. Finally, we will be climbing Snowdon in Wales at 3,560ft, at 07:15 on the 1st. Every year, I like to take on a really difficult and exciting challenge in the name of a good cause, and this year that cause is Tools for Self Reliance Northampton. The TFSR team take it upon themselves to help vulnerable, isolated older adults and younger people who are unable to work due to disabilities or health issues. Many are suffering with depression, anxiety and anyone else who needs support, every day. To quote the charity itself: "Our volunteers, who work together in the workshop, gain motivation, self-confidence and self-esteem in a supportive and friendly atmosphere." They refurbish old tools and donate kits to deprived areas of the world, and projects in Northampton itself, providing volunteer opportunities to those who most need it. Not only are these great guys our neighbours, but they are also wonderful people and deserve every penny we can give them. I have very little training in this area, but I am adamant that I will complete this challenge for myself and for the boys at Tools for Self Reliance. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page
