I've signed up for my 4th MKRUFC Ring of Fire cycling challenge in May 2020. Over 380 miles from from the east coast by Newcastle to Silloth on the west coast via Sunderland, Consett, Penrith, Whitehaven and Cockermouth and back via Scotland, the Kelder Forest and Lynemouth, it looks like our toughest 4 day ride to date, let's pray to the sun gods!
All in aid of our fantastic local rugby club in Milton Keynes that continues to grow and attract children into the great sport of rugby and the many physical and social benefits it offers. Our aim this year is to raise over £50,000 to ensure the club continues to thrive and offer more sporting opportunities to the children of Milton Keynes.
With over 40 'non cyclists' taking part in 2020, this will be a real test of team work and stamina. Training will start on cold wintery mornings in February with regular 50 mile group rides, feel free to come and join us.
If you feel this is a worthwhile cause and of course a noteworthy challenge, I would be extremely grateful of any donations received. All funds raised through this page including any gift aid go to Milton Keynes Rugby Club which is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and therefore benefits from charitable gift aiding status. All costs for the trip are paid by external sponsors and donors so every penny raised goes to the. Many thanks for your support.
