Unfortunately after breaking my foot in May - I have had to update my challenge, instead of doing the Edinburgh Kiltwalk this year (my Physio said absolutely not!), I am going to aim for the Glasgow Kiltwalk in April next year for The Cheyne Gang. A fantastic charity that support those with respiratory conditions which some of my family members are affected by.
The Cheyne Gang is a small Scottish charity providing community singing groups for people living with long term respiratory conditions such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Asthma, Bronchiectasis, long covid
- in fact any respiratory condition that causes long term breathlessness.
The Cheyne Gang was founded by three general practice nurses - Pauline, Anne and Sarah in 2013. They all specialised in respiratory care and are involved in choirs. They investigated the positive impact of singing for breathing on the quality of life in a small group of patients with breathlessness. The improvements in physical, mental and social health experienced by those involved has spurred them on to offer this intervention to many more people in Scotland.
Currently there are five Cheyne Gang singing for breathing choirs in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Innerleithen, with plans to start more groups across Scotland. Please see the links below for further information.

Every little helps and I would very much appreciate your support.
