Why they need our serviceI am raising money for Oakwood Youth Club in Salford. I have been involved with Oakwood for over two years and can testify to the amazing opportunities they provide for disabled young people in Salford to get involved in arts, sports and outdoor activities. Every penny raised will go towards supporting projects in these areas.
Plan and expected resultsOakwood have young disadvantaged members who cannot afford to access activities. As funding is becoming tighter, services are disapperaing and organisations like Oakwood are finding less money to subsidise activities for those who need it most. Any funding raised will be used to provide activities for those children who do not get the financial support they require. Oakwood will identify these young people and offer them free activities. This will support their personal and social development.
