The Saturday Night Getaway is a brand new Youth Club for young people aged 12-19 years. Essentially it is a Saturday Night Youth Club and participation project with a young person’s management and organizing committee.This project is based at the Broom Farm Youth and Community Centre and has an extra emphasis on the young people who live on this estate, their emotional disadvantage at having fathers in the armed forces and their integration into the wider community.

Dedworth is an area of Windsor with significant deprivation, high rates of antisocial behavior and young people not in education, employment and training which has led to young people’s disengagement with their local community. This project is set up to give these young people the opportunity to take action in their local area improving self esteem, motivation and reducing crime rates.

We are working for a reduction in antisocial behavior in the area and are in contact with the local PCSOs to monitor these figures, this Halloween saw an 85% reduction in antisocial behavior compared to 2008. The project will support young people on national accreditations and qualifications like the vinspired awards and Youth Work NVQs improving their chances of further education and employment.
