This St David’s Day, we’re inviting communities across Swansea Bay to come together for The Big Cwtch Lunch. A celebration of food, friendship, and that very Welsh feeling of a cwtch.
The Big Cwtch Lunch is a brand-new Faith in Families campaign for 2026. It’s all about people hosting their own lunch, at home, at work, in schools or in their community and raising money to support children and families facing poverty, crisis, and trauma.
A Big Cwtch Lunch can be anything you want it to be.
A bowl of cawl with friends, a bring-and-share at work, a school lunch, a coffee and cake morning, or a St David’s Day get-together. Simple, welcoming, and all about coming together.
Why it matters
At Faith in Families, we support over 1,000 children and families every week through our Community Cwtches, family support services, and Cwtch Mawr Multibank. With the cost of living continuing to rise, more families than ever are struggling to meet their basic needs.
Money raised through The Big Cwtch Lunch helps us:
Support children and families living in poverty
Provide food, essentials, and practical help through our Multibank
Offer safe, welcoming community spaces where families can feel supported
Every lunch shared helps create stability, dignity, and hope for local families.
