The Dawesys Run Reigate!

We are Sophie (7) and Joe (6). In September we are going to take part in Run Reigate. We are running in the kids race for the third time and we love taking part. Our Auntie Marie and our Uncle Matty are running the half marathon that day too - they also run with us so they actually run 14.2 miles! Our Cousin Victoria will run the new 5k race so it is a real family event :) We are all raising money for Stripey Stork. They look after children who don't have many clothes and toys and give them the things they need which is a really good thing to do. Please give lots of money to Stripey Stork and we will run very fast! They collect donations of new and pre-loved items for babies and children (equipment, clothes, furniture and toys) and, after ensuring they are clean and safe, rehome them via a network of healthcare professionals directly to where they are needed most. Great pride is taken on how the items are passed on – recipients should feel they are receiving a gift not a handout. Since October 2013 Stripey Stork has responded to over 5000 requests for help and distributed goods valuing over £1.8 million to families who, because of a range of different and complex circumstances are unable to support their children with basic necessities.
