Well I have always fancied having a crack at boxing and now I'm 45 I'd better pull my finger out or I'll be looking at having my first fight in a care home.
The Riff Raff Society Show is definitely the one for me. To have hundreds of people watching me in the Curzon is going to be a real thrill. I love the direct giving vibe of the charity and and the way they bring the community together.
It's fair to say my friends have been less than supportive so far in fact they have set up a group on facebook 'Porter gets knocked out!'
We'll have to see how that pans out!
All I can say is I am going to give this everything.
The Riff Raff Society always supports great local causes and with the profits from this event they are hoping to send Madison Shields (Sale) (5) who is having Kidney cancer treatment on a respite holiday and are also planning to upgrade the family vehicle of Kayden Simpson (7) who has severe Cerebral Palsy (Urmston)
