During May half term, I am riding my bike - powered by by Lycra-clad legs - from Bath to Paris in order to raise some money for a small, Bath-based charity called Sporting Family Change.
I have worked to support a number of vulnerable families and young people in Bath. Through this work, I have worked closely with local services and charities, one of which was Sporting Family Change. We have worked together closely and had some fantastic success in enabling people and families to find their confidence and their self-belief. I can't deny that doing something significant like a bike ride to Paris has been on the cards for me for a while, but when the opportunity arose to undertake this venture with SFC and with some of the family members I have personally supported, I felt this was the perfect moment.
I have paid all the costs involved in taking part in this event, so any money you are able and generous enough to give will go directly to this new charity that directly supports some of the most vulnerable young people and families in a positive and active way.
I've seen how these guys work and the impact they can have on people. Not only can they change people's lives for the positive, but they can also enable people to change their own lives and start experiencing more and more success.
