Phil Brown was my brother-in-law. He was warm, witty, charming, thoughtful and tall. In many ways we were like Twins (1988, Danny De Vito and Arnold Schwarzenegger). Two years ago he was diagnosed with bowel cancer, that had already spread to his liver and lungs. Phil's journey since then ended on 23rd April, and we miss him terribly. We Get It gave him amazing support throughout his illness, as he came to terms with an awful situation. Phil was with them most weeks, whether online or in person through the pandemic, and I would like to do what little I can to help this organisation which is so vital for those in Phil's situation.
Phil came to running quite late in life, but it took him - literally - all over the world, completing marathons in every continent (including the tricky one). By running 100K in May, I'd like to honour his commitment and help those who have helped Phil. I hope you can help me to do that by giving as generously as you can to this fantastic cause.
Well done Tom! A most worthy cause, Chris
Good luck Tom. Hopefully you will raise loads for such a worthy cause.
Hi all, I thought I'd posted a midway update - but obvs not! It's been hard going, but I got there in the end. Thanks to everyone for all your support, and for your generosity to this amazing cause.
Best wishes and love to you all Pete, Jen and the kids
