For years Kev has wanted to cycle Lands End to John O'Groats, now I have finished University it has seemed the appropriate time to take on the 1000 mile challenge over 12 Days.
We have decide to raise money for two charities close to our hearts (Charlotte's Brightside and Cynthia Spencer Hospice). Proceeds from this Local Giving page will go to Charlotte's Brightside. The charity was founded in memory of Charlotte Churchill, who died tragically in a car accident. Funding that has been raised so far has enabled the development of a local youth centre that provides a safe place for young people to 'hang out' and make new friends. Hearing about the positive impact the charity has had on young people, through my girlfriend, Charlotte's cousin and the rest of her family, has motivated us to want to further aid resources at the centre.
The aims of the charity are to advance and relieve the needs of young people through: a) a provision of recreational and leisure activities, provided in an interest of social welfare designed to improve their conditions in life. b) by providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals. The charity is self-funded so I really would appreciate any donations to help further work towards these aims.
