The North Easy Allstars will be running, climbing, swimming, hauling and crawling their way through 5 miles of mud and obstacles on Saturday 7 July at 9am.
Tough Mudder Half is daunting for people who have not trained very much and in general aren't big fans of running, or mud or freezing water or getting up early.
Please support us as we push ourselves to our very limits to get through this!
We are supporting The Reasons Why Foundation who look at the causes and effects of people affected by crime, exploring new ways of thinking and making choices. The Reasons Why Foundation looks for the Reasons Why people offend. They help them to find their own alternatives which do not cause negative outcomes and give people the opportunity to share their own thoughts, beliefs and experiences in a safe environment, in complete confidence where they know they are being listened to, heard and valued. Here the change begins.
Why the community needs The Reasons Why:
TRW's programme helps the people they support to shape their future, rejoining communities that they have grown distant to. With the skills and resources acquired from working with TRW, they learn to be positive role models to others & contributory members of their communities. They also help communities to better understand these estranged people, through information and experience sharing at our community celebration events. The future of our communities relies upon effective cohesion.
At a time when we have escalating numbers of deaths on our streets and crime in stats are going up (due to cuts in policing among other factors) this approach has never been more needed.
