Why do we do it?
We have passion for sports because we know how much self-satisfaction, confidence and positive energy it brings into our lives. If we can combine our varied training skills, try them in a muddy environment, get soaking wet, get dirty and even get electrocuted and still enjoy it, whilst also raising money for an amazing Charity, we see it as no brainer!
We have decided to complete the 10 miles and 20 obstacles Tough Mudder taking place on the 8th of July in Hemel Hempstead. We will run 10 miles, we will climb ropes, climb over walls, swim through dark muddy tunnels, plummet into ice baths, all the while testing ourselves both physically and mentally.
So why do we do it? Because we think we are strong enough? Because we think we are brave enough?
No, because as a team we will give it our absolute best and in doing so, help to raise money to help Children that are less able and need our support.
We are hoping to raise money to support ‘KEEN London’ a Charity that organises sports events for children with disabilities, from all over London.
KEEN London offers sports, games, arts and other activities for children with disabilities and their siblings in a completely safe, fully-supported environment, at no cost to their caregiver. Uniquely, KEEN London pairs each "athlete" with a trained volunteer coach. This means they can get the most fun possible out of a session: building confidence, making friendships and learning new skills.
We appreciate everyone gets flooded with these requests at the start of summer, but any support you are willing to give would be greatly appreciated!
We know the great feeling after completing a long run, heavy training, skating, swimming, climbing or canoeing session. Your donation will ensure some of these Children will be able to experience the positive, confidence-building, experience too.
Thank you in advance for your kind donations!
