Hello!
Our names are Dan Mattravis and Ali Moger and we are members of staff at Larkrise School in Trowbridge. Our school caters for children with a variety of complex additional needs and learning difficulties. Many of our children transition from Stepping Stones, which is our local opportunity centre. Stepping Stones works tirelessly with children with special needs from very young age onto school age. They encourage and promote the children's physical, social and emotional development as well as their communication using a variety of visual prompts and aids. Recently, the Government has scrapped the funding for Stepping Stones which has left them self-funding to ensure that they are still able to run, costing approximately £50,000 annually. Stepping Stones is a fantastic provision and hugely deserves full support for their hard work.
On the 16th August, we will be running the well renowned "Tough Mudder" obstacle race, which includes climbing a variety of high obstacles, live wires, icy water and much more. If you could please donate towards our aim then both ourselves and Stepping Stones would be hugely grateful!
