At The People’s Orchestra we are always looking for new ways to raise money, so when Donald Nelson offered to hike up Snowdon to help us raise money for our Orchestra Bursaries we were delighted!
Donald Nelson was previously the president of the Handsworth Rotary Club, who already provide two of our Orchestra bursaries.
Donald is an experienced hiker and has already scaled peaks in Nepal and the Cairngorms!
Donald will be accompanied by several members of the orchestra, (not including the double bass), and will be performing a small concert when they get to the summit.
Our Orchestra bursaries provide our musicians with the opportunity to develop their skills through tuition and the opportunity to perform in our orchestra. Our Orchestra Bursaries already help a number of our musicians and they are vital to us as a community orchestra.
By donating and helping us reach our £500 target you would be providing an opportunity for another musician to join The People's Orchestra!
