I have a wonderful sister in law (the current President of Swansea Bay Business Club) who likes to rope me into any of her challenges and adventures.... But this is one of those challenges that I am very proud and privileged to be a part of.   Faith in Families are an amazing local charity, who should not need to exist in the first place, and who help children and families living in poverty, and facing very difficult times during the cost of living crisis.

I'm am very lucky to never be in a position to decide whether to heat my home or feed my children. For many, this is the reality. It is beyond imagination. Currently there are more than 24,000 children in Swansea living in poverty.

I originally set out to undertake these challenges in 2024 but unfortunately a cycling accident put an end to that. My challenges for the 40 Cubed Challenge with Swansea Bay Business Club during 2025 include:

• The Welsh Three Peaks - 18 mile climb of the 3 Welsh peaks starting at 11am on Snowdon and finishing at the bottom of Pen Y Fan around 7am the next day

• CarTen 100+miles - cycling from Cardiff to Tenby

• Tour de Pembrokeshire - 100 mile bike ride around the very hilly countryside of Pembrokeshire
