Its challenge year again! My 3 challenges are: Edinburgh Marathon 500 miles GNR in 1:30 You can connect to my runkeeper account to track daily progression http://runkeeper.com/user/A1defiant 1st: Is the Edinburgh Marathon 31st May 2015, would like sub 4hr time, although its not a necessity. 2nd: Challenge is to run 500 miles over the year, so roughly 50 miles a month... which assuming I train as I should, then this should be also be relatively easy to achieve (assuming no injuries) 3rd: The hardest of the 3... Great North Run in 1:30, I've talked about it for years but never managed to get the training done to even contemplate it on a half marathon, but I have run this fast on occasion (although not for over 15 years now) and not for a half marathon distance. This is pretty much under 7 min miles all the way and will be very, very tough to achieve, but that's why it's a good challenge! Each month I will update you on weight, distance covered that month and fastest speed that month per distance. As my weight will be a big factor on whether I can achieve the last expect it to drop as I may need to lose 10kilos in order to achieve the time. Anyway please sponsor me (money going to Daft as A Brush) as the more I get the less chance I have to back out...
