2023 marks my 4th Ring of Fire charity bike ride.

This coming May, me and a bunch of mixed ability riders are aiming to raise over £100,000 for 3 charities, one these being 4Ed, a charity established for one of Milton Keynes Rugby Club’s own, Ed Slater who has recently been diagnosed with MND. After having represented and captained both Leicester Tigers & Gloucester rugby clubs, Ed’s rugby career has been cruelly cut short and we hope to raise awareness of MND as well as raise much needed funds for Ed and his family to help in the battle against this disease.

The main RoF challange will include a 250 mile bike ride around the county of Norfolk over 2 ½ days, 2 x 100 mile rides and 1 x 50 miler. I am also planning a little extra to bolt onto this 3 day ride to up the mileage a bit but cycling to Norfolk in one day...approx. 140 miles.
In addition, me and a couple of other lunatics are also taking part in the Chase the Sun Ireland ride....207 miles across Ireland in one day.
So that must be worth a few bob donations....

For the 2023 ride, our 3 chosen charities are:

1. Willen Hospice - End of life palliative care (willen-hospice.org.uk)
2. Ed Slater and the Gloucester Rugby 4ED campaign: Gloucester Rugby- MND support
3. Milton Keynes Rugby Club MKRUFC - Developing the Great Sport of Rugby in Milton Keynes

Please watch the video below to find out a little more from our 2022 ROF challenge and the history of the event.

Everyone involved with The Ring of Fire is a volunteer or fund raiser and all costs to host the events are covered personally so every pound raised goes straight to the charities.

I appreciate the economic environment is really tough at the moment, however, any donations however small (even £5 helps) will help us reach our target for these 3 charities. Thank you in advance!
