We're the Thames Valley Kings Wheelchair Basketball Club, Our club aims to provide an opportunity, primarily but not exclusively for those with Physical disabilities within the Thames Valley area to participate in a sports club - we are also the oldest competitive club in Berkshire currently playing in British Wheelchair Basketball's National League Division 3 South & West and Division 4 and two teams at Junior (Under 15s & Under 19s).
On Sunday, December 18th 2016 and for the second year running, Kings will make a return to this year's Thatcham rotary club's Santa Fun Run with a team of members joining the wheelchair race and for the first time, our mascot Uncle Bob will be taking part.
Last year, four of our members took part as the first ever wheelchair entries of the race pushing a modified course. This year we play to have over half a dozen entries.
