Hello everyone!
Those of you who know me know that running and I do not get on. However, my friends & I thought it would be "fun" to run the Yorkshire Coast 10k to which I somehow agreed. Since we’ve entered it only seemed right for us to raise some money for a worthy charity.
"Sunshine and Smiles is a registered charity that provides a support network in Leeds for children and young people who have Down syndrome and their families.
They aim to improve the lives and opportunities for children and young people with Down syndrome,
offering speech and language therapy, regular groups and activities, individual support and advocacy for families, as well as raising awareness and challenging preconceptions in the wider community."
If you are unaware my ADORABLE little niece, Hannah, has Down Syndrome and will be celebrating her 3rd birthday in August !!
Sunshine and Smiles have provided brilliant support to Hannah, my sister (Becky) and brother-in-law (Colin). Providing practical and emotional support, activities and a loving community so that Hannah can grow up living her best life!
Any donations will be gratefully received and will be used to help Hannah and many other children within the Leeds area.
