To bring people together we arrange regular coffee mornings. These have proved really popular and attracted regulars from outside the village. We all love chatting with neighbours over a really good coffee. They can also buy delicious village produce.

In a spread out village like Lamyatt people can go for years without meeting the people who live around them. Since the coffee mornings started we have realised that people like to meet up regularly and catch up, for instance, with progress on the village hall improvements. Its a nice surprise to find lovely home made cakes for tea

People talk to each other and get to know new people. For some of the older people good disabled access and more space with comfortable chairs will make these events even more popular
